With the Australian Covid-19 ongoing pandemic response escalating, travel and logistics advice continues to change for most States and Territories.

Here is an updated border advice document in light of the emerging new developments as a result of an increased of CV-19 transmission in Victoria and New South Wales.

All advice is current for all jurisdictions. Critically please note the following:


All of Victoria and Greater Sydney are currently declared COVID-19 hotspots.

From 1am Saturday 8 August, all local government areas in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) will also be declared COVID-19 hotspots.


Stage 4 ‘Stay at Home’ restrictions, for Metropolitan Melbourne and Stage 3 Restrictions for the remainder of Victoria are now in place. now apply.

This includes the following restrictions on meat and meat product processing and distribution centres:

  • Meat, meat product and seafood processing and distribution centres are considered a high-risk industry and subject to industry tailored High Risk COVID Safe plan
  • 33 per cent reduction compared to peak capacity
  • Statewide – Regions included
  • Single site only – no site hopping
  • Supermarket distribution centres will implement a 33 per cent reduction of peak workforce will be implemented upon commencement of the directions
